About
What puts me on Cloud 9? The social buzz around a brand’s latest announcement. The questions following a refreshed content strategy presentation. The final buffering of a brand documentary (mostly so I can get my cursor back from the spinning wheel).
In case it isn’t clear, Meredith is my name and brand marketing is my game. I’ve always been incredibly passionate about consumer brands, how their messages are perceived, and the ways in which people (including myself) engage with them. As a digital creator and strategist, I’m constantly drumming up new ways to develop strong, compelling content that people actually care about.

As soon as I walked through the doors of Edelman, I knew I was going to work there. Upon graduating from UMD back in 2017, that’s exactly what I did. During my tenure, I was the head content strategist for Hilton and eBay’s corporate channels. I was also the day-to-day social SME and main campaign planner. Not only that, I built up my skills around executive positioning for each company’s CEO. Overall, my Edelman experience sparked my interest in consumer marketing, so I transitioned to Optoro as the marketing lead for BLINQ, their D2C brand that sold returned and overstock items from larger retailers. Once the pandemic hit, I pivoted to work on Optoro corporate marketing and dip my toes into B2B under Optoro’s proprietary wholesale brand, BULQ. Now I’m looking to flex the skills I’ve gained across these areas and help a new brand come to life.

I’m a MD girl currently residing in VA and working in DC. I come from a huge family, chalk full of UMD alumni (Go Terps!). When I’m not out shopping, making digital portraits, or binge-watching The Great British Baking Show, I’m usually grabbing a cup of coffee or a drink with friends. One day I’ll be able to add dog mom to my resume, but not quite yet. I’m hoping to travel in this new year to Seattle, Florida, and Vermont — please send recommendations!

My first job was as a barista on my college campus (Footnote’s at McKeldin Library will always have a special place in my heart). My name is in a NYT bestseller - this one to be exact. I’m a huge “Maxxinista” and part-time reseller, so check out my shop on Mercari, Depop, and Poshmark. Donuts and coffee are integral parts of my life.
