Optoro is a technology company on a mission to make retail more sustainable by eliminating all waste from returns. Optoro solves for this with an end-to-end returns solution. This includes an online portal for customers to start their return, AI-routing technology to send items to their most profitable destination, and a resale channel (BULQ) for returned and overstock items. This full solution creates a more circular economy that benefits customers, retailers, and the planet.
Due to temporary store closures early on in 2020, American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) faced a huge backlog of returned inventory piling up in their distribution centers. To avoid stockouts and a negative customer experience, AEO turned to Optoro’s Returns Management solution to solve this pressing challenge and to automate their returns processing for the future.
Knowing that other top apparel retailers found themselves in similar scenarios brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, this was a story that needed to be told.
